If you have a background in controlled blasting, excavation oversight, and heavy civil tunnel construction, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to a transformative transportation upgrade.

- Monitor tunnel excavation activities such as scaling, mucking, ground support installation, and structural lining.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, controlled blasting standards, and project‑specific requirements.
- Review shot records, vibration monitoring data, and blast reports to confirm adherence to design and regulatory limits.
- Document daily field activities, identify non‑conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with blasting contractors, tunnel engineers, geotechnical specialists, and field inspection teams.
- Conduct inspections of underground support systems, waterproofing, concrete work, and related civil elements.
- Attend regular progress meetings and provide field‑level updates on blasting and excavation progress.
- 5+ years of experience in tunnel construction inspection with direct exposure to controlled blasting operations.
- Strong understanding of blasting techniques, underground excavation methods, ground support systems, and heavy civil tunnel construction practices.
- Familiarity with vibration monitoring, blast safety protocols, and environmental controls.
- Experience on major rail, tunnel, or large‑scale underground infrastructure projects.
- Blasting certification or equivalent field experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in underground field environments.
- OSHA 10/30 or relevant tunnel/blasting safety certifications.
