Entry Level Traffic Engineer

Full‑time
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (dependent on experience and location)
What You Will Do- Perform traffic analysis and design activities on highway and bridge projects.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Work on projects primarily in the mid‑Atlantic region, with occasional assignments elsewhere.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors, project managers, engineers, and designers.
- Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or related field; focus on Traffic preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in transportation/traffic analysis, engineering, and design; internships or co‑ops preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly desired.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station.
- Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/Sim Traffic, and Sidra software.
- Experience with Cube or other travel‑demand modeling software.
- Experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).
- Innovative work ethic and desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
