Primary Responsibilities
Specific efforts will include analysis of chemical materials, development and characterization of novel materials to include polymers and thermoplastics and testing, evaluation, and modeling materials against traditional chemical warfare agents, non-traditional agents, and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and toxic industrial materials (TIMs). The research scientist will work under the direction of DEVCOM CBC Principal Investigator and other research scientists, chemists, and engineers.
BasicQualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in organic synthesis.
- Familiarity with computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling for vapors and particulates.
- Knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) and knowledge of multilayer thermoplastics.
