As an Energy Engineer, you will:

• Perform existing building commissioning and conduct preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) and opportunities.
• Participate in pre‑sale activities, working closely with Sales to qualify customer opportunities for energy efficiency and collaborate with Siemens operations and outside vendors to develop FIMs.
• Analyze blueprints and perform site surveys to evaluate mechanical, electrical, and control systems, then use building energy simulation programs to develop energy, cooling, and heating load models.
• Conduct industry‑standard energy calculations (e.g., weather‑based BIN calculations) and develop design concepts and schematics for recommended FIMs, including scope of work descriptions, operational sequences, code assessments, savings potential, cost estimates, and data to verify FIMs.
• Prepare financial models including ROI, life‑cycle costs, and internal rate of return, and collaborate with our Digital Service Team on Smart Building solutions as part of Siemens Digitalization Strategy.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Energy Manager or Professional Engineer certification
• 3+ years of energy industry experience supporting performance‑based projects or energy services
• Experience with standard ASHRAE energy calculations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 7+ years of experience supporting performance‑based projects or energy services

The pay range for this position is $67,544 – $115,790 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
