About the RoleWe are actively looking for an Instrument Technician with hands‑on experience in a critical industrial environment—power, chemical, or food/beverage. The ideal candidate will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair complex I‑&C systems, manage calibration schedules, and ensure the safety and precision of manufacturing plants across a four‑state service area (DE/PA/VA/NJ). Knowledge of NIST traceable standards, ISO 17025 procedures, PLC/HMI troubleshooting, and ISA CCST certification is a plus.

Day‑to‑DayResponsibilities
- Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control generating operations.
- Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters, and other recording instruments using precision test equipment.
- Perform calibrations of instrumentation necessary for maintaining production equipment and auxiliary measurement systems.
- Trace and test electronic solid‑state and vacuum tube circuitry, locate defective parts using schematics and maintenance manuals.
- Maintain calibration standards, complete calibration and service work according to in‑house or site procedures.
- Provide technical support for calibration processes and procedures, including creating calibration procedures and schedules.
- Coordinate with equipment owners on monthly calibration schedules and submit ICRS/Calibration Certificates.
- Assist in equipment/facility qualification as needed.
- Perform PLC/HMI troubleshooting, minor programming, instrumentation installation, and calibration.
- Recommend upgrades or best installation practices to existing instrumentation and controls systems.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or trade school certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Instrument Technician in power, chemical, food/beverage, oil/gas, or related industries.
- Knowledge of servicing and installing I‑&C equipment in industrial sites.
- Experience with calibrations of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters, and analytical instruments.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing monthly calibration schedules.
- Adherence to client and company policies, standards, and customer service excellence.
- ISA CCST certification preferred, but not required.
- Remain stationary as required for tasks.
- Move throughout client facilities and offices to access equipment.
- Operate instrumentation, computers, calculators, printers, and other devices.
- Ascend and descend portable and fixed ladders, scaffolding, and equipment, some exceeding 25 feet safely.
- Traverse large stairways frequently.
- Move tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Work in outdoor conditions as needed.
- Support clients in Baltimore Metro Area with occasional travel to DE, PA, VA, NJ.
- Pay: $/hour (based on experience).
- Annual profit‑sharing bonus (variable).
