The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for tenure-track positions at anyrank in the areas of NAMs and
Digital Twins . We define a digital twin as a computational modelof a patient, organ, or tissue that updates from measured data andpredicts how that system responds to disease, drugs, orintervention. We seek candidates who pair experimental data generation with computational modeling in one or more of these areas: wearable devices and biosensors; non-invasivetechnologies and multi-scale imaging; molecular and functional imaging, and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) including organoids,organ-on-chip platforms, and microphysiologicalsystems integrated with computational models.

We also welcome computational candidates whose programs focus onAI/ML-enabled predictive modeling and would be considered asfaculty candidates for the Johns Hopkins Data Science and Artificial Intelligence(DSAI) Institute.

The successful candidate will connect with work in one or more ofour seven focus areas:
Biomedical Data Science, Computational Medicine, Genomics & Systems Biology, Imaging and Medical Devices, Immunoengineering, Neuroengineering, and Translational Cell & Tissue Engineering. We welcome both basic andtranslational research programs. Faculty build collaborations across the University through numerous departments, centers, and institutes. Biomedical Engineering is part of both the School of Medicine and the Whiting School of Engineering, which gives our faculty deep clinical collaborations.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.

The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may varyand will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
