Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Designer to support a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in MEP design projects across commercial, institutional, and mission-critical environments. This position is onsite in Baltimore, MD.

• Develop mechanical or electrical system designs for commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities.
• Create and modify engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using design software.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Perform calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections.
• Support project coordination efforts throughout design and construction phases.
• Review and update design documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical support for ongoing projects.

• 3-4+ years of experience in an MEP environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  Associate degree or equivalent experience considered.
• High school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience may qualify for senior-level roles.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical design principles.
• PE license not required but highly valued.
• Stable work history with limited job hopping.
• No security clearance required.

Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000 (Designer), $100,000-$130,000+ (Engineer), flexible for PE candidates.
