Job Summary
This role performs operation and maintenance tasks at a wastewater treatment plant in Baltimore, MD, including equipment maintenance and quality control testing. You will operate treatment facilities to control the flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent, and interpret meter and gauge readings. You will also collect samples, maintain shift logs, and complete preventive maintenance to keep municipal services running without interruption.
PAY: $27.00/hr - $30.00/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities- Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent
- Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings
- Perform maintenance of equipment and quality control testing
- Complete preventive maintenance and provide effective solutions to challenges that arise in municipal facilities
- Collect samples and maintain shift logs
- Perform other duties as required
- Basic experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants
- Basic understanding of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to enter data into a maintenance management system
- A valid driver's license with no major infractions (driving is a requirement for this position)
- A current first level water/wastewater treatment certification, or working towards obtaining one
- Basic familiarity with the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations, valves, pumps, and motors
