We are seeking an Area Director of Finance for Hotel Zena and Viceroy Washington D.C.

• Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for the property.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses; ensure accurate recording.
• Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis; investigate variances.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, and contracts.
• Analyze financial data to assist management in maintaining financial objectives.
• Comply with Standard Accounting policies and internal controls for finance operations.
• Review and approve all balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliations, and ledger account reconciliations.
• Establish and audit all internal financial controls.
• Coordinate all internal and external audits, working with CPA firms.
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff; provide coaching and counseling.
• Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels’ standards and regulations.
• Prepare and direct financial reports, including budgets and capital plans.
• Interact with Executive Committee members to ensure operations are on track.
• Ensure timely production of daily operating reports.
• Execute other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

• At least 5 years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.
• Prior Controller or Director of Finance experience at a premium-branded Hotel.
• Experience overseeing multiple hotels simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Supervise at least 2 employees.
• Proficient in Windows, spreadsheets, word processing, and hotel-specific systems.
