Associate Director of Finance (Neurology)

Join The Johns Hopkins University as an Associate Director of Finance in the Neurology area. You will report to a senior finance leader and oversee key financial functions for the unit.

• Partner with the finance leader and other key leaders to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
• Perform trending analysis and work with staff and leadership to develop projections and forecasts.
• Identify potential financial risks and partner with the finance leader to develop strategic approaches.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual financial reports, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Train and coach departmental finance staff and leaders in effective financial management.
• Work with administrative leaders and finance staff to resolve budget issues and other financial reporting, compliance, and audit issues.
• Review and authorize transactions to ensure expenditures comply with institutional policies and regulations.
• Partner in developing financial models for new initiatives and programs.
• Design and maintain financial models to evaluate “what‑if” scenarios.
• Perform research, investigation, and financial review of new proposals for expansion or enhancement.
• Serve as backup for the finance leader at university‑wide and divisional meetings.
• Serve on project committees and working groups.
• Handle special projects as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Eight years of progressively responsible financial and administrative management experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Educational or experiential equivalents as permitted by JHU equivalency formula.

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Professional experience in higher education or an academic medical center.
