Entry Level Brokerage / Trading Operations Analysts
Lenmar Consulting is seeking several Entry-Level / Junior Operations Analysts to support our global Investment Banking client in Baltimore. Candidates will work across divisions including Wealth Management, Trade Processing, Trade Settlement, Asset/Loan Servicing, and Equities/FIX/FX and Derivatives Operations Support.
The Operations division serves as the first line of defense to protect brokerage’s financial and reputational wellbeing and is an essential partner in the firm’s growth. It supports a complex, multi‑faceted portfolio of businesses in full compliance with regulatory guidelines and the directives of the Operating Committee and Board of Directors. Members of the team touch all parts of the business, from front to back, and manage responsibilities such as settling and recording millions of transactions per day, mitigating operational risk, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with technology to optimize IT and e‑solutions.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Daily communication with clients regarding their accounts.
- Investigation and resolution of client issues through various means, including daily interaction with trading desks, sales desks and middle office groups to ensure prompt resolution.
- Client and business unit relationship management.
- Responding to client queries relating to positions, corporate action bookings and reporting.
- Collaborating with operational management, sales, and trading desks to diminish risk through escalation and strong communication.
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
- Proactive and self‑motivated; intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to identify problems as they arise and understand when they need to be escalated, due to the nature of the products traded.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and follow‑up are a necessity.
- Good appreciation of operational and franchise risk.
- Extensive client interaction both internally and externally; ability to maintain and build excellent client relationships.
