Private Equity Associate - Technology & Services

We are a prominent middle market private equity firm dedicated to identifying and investing in promising companies with growth potential. Our team of skilled professionals leverages industry expertise and strategic insights to drive value for our portfolio companies and investors.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Private Equity Associate to join our team of investment professionals. As a key member of our investment group, you will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investment opportunities across a diverse range of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior members of the investment team to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough market research, industry analysis, and due diligence to assess the attractiveness of target companies.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze investment returns, cash flows, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in structuring deals, negotiating terms, and preparing investment memorandums for investment committee presentations.
  • Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive growth and operational improvements.
  • Support the exit process by preparing divestiture strategies, coordinating with advisors, and participating in negotiations.
  • Cultivate relationships with intermediaries, advisors, and industry professionals to source potential investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of investment processes, internal reporting, and performance analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities for crafting investment memos and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated passion for the private equity industry and investment process.
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a willingness to take initiative.
