Overview
Services for children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities (e.g., autism, intellectual disability, genetic and chromosomal syndromes) are central to Kennedy Krieger's mission.
We seek applicants interested and experienced with these populations to learn and apply cutting-edge clinical interventions for posttraumatic stress. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time, LCSW-C clinicians joining our team!
Excellent benefits, supervision, and training are provided at this outpatient mental health clinic specializing in trauma treatment. Candidates with clinical experience with marginalized groups and champions of social justice are encouraged to apply. The Center has operated for over 40 years and has received national recognition.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical social work services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families via individual, group, or family modalities.
- Conduct evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, to determine appropriate treatment modalities.
- Collaborate with referring agencies to develop service plans for children and families.
- Coordinate with school systems to ensure appropriate educational services, if indicated.
- Participate in peer consultation and supervision to review clinical work.
- Attend training, treatment planning, and administrative meetings.
- Maintain client activity levels as set by administrative staff.
- Keep comprehensive medical records, including treatment plans, progress notes, reviews, and termination summaries.
- Potentially supervise social work trainees and participate in specialized clinics.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
- Must maintain CPR certification.
Education
- Master’s degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
Experience
- Minimum two years of licensed clinical experience treating children and families with traumatic exposures and related emotional/behavioral issues.

Salary Range
Minimum: USD $78,094/year;
Maximum: USD $100,672/year.
