Health and Allied Health - Adjunct Faculty Continuing Education Class Description
CCBC, a leading community college serving over 50,000 students, offers a diverse range of non‑credit Continuing Education courses. This part‑time position instructs college‑level courses that cover a wide array of health and allied health topics such as central services technician, community health worker, CPR, dental assistant, health IT, medical assistant, medical billing, coding, office support, nursing assistant, patient care technician, pharmacy technician, physical therapy tech/aide, sleep technologist, surgical technology, unit clerk, phlebotomy, and veterinary assistant training.
The instructor will teach at one or more campuses (Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville, Hunt Valley, Randallstown, Owings Mills) and may also work off‑site community locations. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience qualifications.
Responsibilities- Teach scheduled non‑credit Continuing Education courses and deliver engaging, adult‑learning instruction.
- Prepare and submit all required course documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Utilize college technology and resources to support effective teaching.
- Participate in faculty development and institutional activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; professional credential or relevant educational level in the teaching field.
- Subject matter expert in at least one of the listed health topics.
- Proficient computer skills and experience teaching or training adults.
- 403(b) and 457(b) supplemental retirement plans with Roth options.
- Free parking; a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety is required.
