As a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you provide comprehensive respiratory care and evaluate patients with respiratory illnesses. Responsibilities include critical care support, emergency room assistance, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, and CPR/code team participation. You are also trained in Pulmonary Diagnostics, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and EEG/NCV procedures. You collaborate closely with the healthcare team, set therapeutic goals, operate diagnostic equipment, and maintain accurate documentation.

- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
- Associate degree required; BS/BA degree is desirable.
- PRN candidates with demonstrated experience in similar RCS divisions.
- Current active license from the State of Maryland Physician Board Quality Assurance (MPBQA). Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current CPR certification.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (Advanced Practitioner) required effective 3/1/2020.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Must pass hospital Arrhythmia test within three months.
- Understand medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and effectively convey this information in written and verbal format.
- Strong understanding of pulmonary anatomy and physiology relative to the tests performed.
- Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity for equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Salary Range:
Minimum 44.00/hour - Maximum 44.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
