• Administer contrast media into the coronary arteries during cardiac catheterization procedures as directed by a cardiologist.
• Recognize the effect of pathology and vital signs to determine injection pressures.
• Apply knowledge of normal physiologic and electrocardiographic sequences to detect minor and dangerous arrhythmias.
• Provide appropriate patient care and function as a first assistant to the physician by scrubbing independently and aiding in the manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters.
• Schedule and maintain orderly patient flow, keeping supplies and patient records up to date.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and record calculations during cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures.
• Operate emergency equipment safely and respond to on‑call emergencies per department policy.
• Handle pre‑procedural duties such as sterile tray preparation, procedural education, and lab work review, and post‑procedural duties including observation of catheter/device insertion sites and patient discharge instructions.
• Safely operate imaging equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA‑approved School of Radiologic Technology (minimum 2 years).
• 2+ years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or registration.
• Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility.

USD $41.98 – USD $68.75 per hour.
