Medstar Health is looking for a Diagnostic Technologist to join our team!

We are seeking a registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills.

The Diagnostic Technologist will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including interpretation.

• Acquires ordered images, evaluates these images for technical quality, and sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas, reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions, and maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance regularly.
• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, explains procedures, transports patients to the radiographic room, and prepares and maintains the room.
• Performs radiographic examinations and prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
• Requests and orders supplies.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Associate degree preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $46.99.
