Patient Care Technician

Full Time - Night Shift (7pm-7am)

Location:

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD 21224

• Assist patients with changing/dressing.
• Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could affect surgical and patient outcomes, including abnormal vital signs, Accu Check results, lab, EKG, and CXR results.
• Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings such as jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc.
• Verify patient information.
• Orient patients and families to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.

Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, record and report clinical data, and use specialized patient care equipment.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program.

Salary Range:
Minimum $18.41 per hour – Maximum $27.70 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
