Position: Bilingual Registrar / Front Office Assistant

Overview

Park West is seeking a skilled Bilingual Registrar to support and receive patients between our Plaza and Belvedere locations.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Answer phone calls and address questions and concerns over the telephone in a professional demeanor.
  • Enter a variety of data elements into the computer system on a daily basis.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, including follow-up, call-in and walk-in appointments.
  • Keep supply of appropriate/necessary forms available.
  • Remain courteous, calm and accurate when transcribing verbal communications by telephone and in person.
  • Keep the working environment neat and clean.
  • Obtain correct updated demographics information (e.g., address).
  • Handle incoming telephone calls for appointments.
  • Maintain provider schedules.
  • Print and distribute daily schedules to providers and clinical support staff.
  • Schedule and notify patients of appointments.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish highly desired.
  • At least two (2) years of clerical experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Proficiency with Windows and data-based programs.
  • Ability to work as a productive team member with staff and patients; professional and personable; open to supervision and growth.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing the patient upon arrival, capturing and verifying all demographic and insurance information, securing required signatures, and scheduling patient appointments.
