Position: Onsite Board-Certified Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP)

GD Resources is hiring an Onsite Board-Certified Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP) to support the VA Radiation Oncology Program at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The CTMP serves as the senior physics leader and provides clinical, technical, and quality oversight of all radiation therapy physics and dosimetry operations, ensuring compliance with VA, APeX, ACR, ASTRO, AAPM, NHPP, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

The CTMP is required to be onsite a minimum of 50% of clinical hours.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in Medical Physics or related discipline
  • Board Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the A
  • Minimum of five (5) years post-board certification experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of continuous recent clinical experience
  • Approved by NROP/NHPP as facility CTMP
  • Current CEUs and VA credentialing compliance
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the designated CTMP listed on the facility NHPP registration certificate
  • Oversee all physics and dosimetry operations and ensure continuity of services
  • Develop, implement, supervise, and periodically review the Qualified Medical Physics (QMP) program
  • Lead QA/QC programs, including equipment commissioning, acceptance testing, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with ACR/ASTRO APeX accreditation standards
  • Provide radiation safety oversight, shielding surveys, licensing, and regulatory compliance
  • Review and approve physics policies, procedures, and new clinical techniques
  • Provide quarterly QA and Radiation Safety reports and attend required committee meetings
  • Supervise and provide professional oversight to physicists and dosimetrists
  • Lead incident reporting and corrective action processes
