Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring prior float and cardiac telemetry experience.

• Work in a hospital setting on a Med/Surg and Telemetry Float Pool
• Float required to Med/Surg, Intermediate Care (IMC), and ED Boarder units as needed
• Care for med/surg, telemetry, cardiac, and ER holding patients
• Shifts are day, 7:00am to 7:30pm, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 schedules
• Every third weekend required
• Responsible for floating to multiple units as assigned, including to the ED for border patients
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
• Must work every third weekend
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role

• Active RN license from Maryland or Compact state required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• MS/Tele and Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• ER holding experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
