Job DescriptionThe Environmental Health Specialist I position is entry level work involving inspection, investigation, and code enforcement to obtain compliance with various environmental health laws, codes, ordin-counter, and standards. The Environmental Health Specialist II position is a professional, full-performance-level role involving inspection, investigation, and code enforcement to obtain compliance with various environmental health laws, codes, ordinances, and standards. The vacancy exists in the Food Protection Services Program and the position is responsible for inspection and licensing of permanent, mobile, and temporary food service facilities.
Duties also involve complaint investigations for food service facilities.
Minimum ਿਤ
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biological, environmental, or physical sciences from an accredited college or university.
- Specialist I: Must possess a Certificate of Eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland State Board of Environmental Health Specialists. Download the certificate application.
- Specialist II: Must possess a License as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland State Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
