Med Star Health is looking fora Radiology Technologisttojoinourteam!

As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties in the Med Star Health Settings consistent with policies & procedures. Works under the supervision of a physician and performs patient intake, standing orders or protocols, venipuncture, laboratorytestingand patient follow up. Will also administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider, afterdemonstratingcompetency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee.

Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) certified as Radiologic Technologists also perform andtransmitX-ray diagnostic images. This position as appropriate inthe medical record and supportsoptimalpatient flow.

Primary Duties:
  • Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order.

    Performs preventative maintenance regularly.
  • Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.

    Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares andmaintainsroom.
  • Performs radiographic examinations. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Requests and orders supply.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Associate degree preferred.
