Interventional Radiology Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced environment. Our department performs approximately 10 cases per day and serves adult and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct interventional procedures, including biopsies, peripheral procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, stroke interventions, kyphoplasty, and nephrogram procedures.
- Utilize imaging equipment effectively, with a preference for experience in Siemens, Philips, Toshiba, and GE equipment.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately using the Cerner charting system.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology is required; experience in a teaching hospital or Level I trauma center is preferred.
- Neuro and vascular interventional experience is required.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R, and a valid Maryland RT license are required.
- ARRT-VI certification and fluoroscopy permit are preferred.
- Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM).
- Weekend call is required; no regular weekend shifts are specified.
- Weekday call is back up; hours are from 5 PM to 7 AM on weekdays.
- All staff may float within their scope as needed to meet facility demands.
- Requests for time off (RTO) for 14 days or less will be auto-approved.
- Every other winter and summer holiday must be worked; no RTO is approved for holidays such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
The department consists of 3 interventional radiology rooms and emphasizes team collaboration and patient-centered care. We welcome first-time professionals who meet the experience criteria and are eager to expand their skills in a supportive environment.
