Company Description

Shining Moments ABA provides customized, science-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism across Maryland and New Jersey. Services include comprehensive functional behavior assessments, data-driven intervention plans, and support for communication, social engagement, and daily living skills. Shining Moments ABA emphasizes caregiver training and family collaboration to promote consistency and long-term independence.

The team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) combines compassion with clinical expertise to partner with families throughout their care journey.

Role Description

The Behavioral Health Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD, providing direct ABA therapy to children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, supporting skill development in communication, social interaction, and daily living, and reinforcing positive behaviors in home and community settings. The role involves collecting accurate behavior and skill acquisition data, documenting session notes, and sharing observations with the clinical team to inform ongoing treatment.

  • Behavior analysis and applied behavior analysis skills, including the ability to understand and implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, caregivers, and clinical team members.
  • Foundational knowledge of psychology and child development to support behavior interpretation and skill-building.
  • Experience or training in behavioral intervention, de-escalation, and reinforcement strategies in home or community settings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Behavioral Health Technician, RBT, or in a direct care role with neurodivergent or pediatric populations is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Baltimore, MD, reliably commute to client locations, and manage physically active sessions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail in data collection and documentation, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and supervision.
