Position SummaryAs Catering & Services Manager / Catering Sales Enthusiast, you will achieve and execute hotel functions with a strong emphasis on excellence and guest satisfaction. You will be pivotal in ensuring that every event and function is carried out seamlessly, creating memorable experiences for our guests. You will uphold the highest standards of hospitality, consistently striving to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional service.
EssentialFunctions
- Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits.
- Meet sales call quotas and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Carefully review all contracted services to ensure profitability.
- Foster and maintain close client relationships.
- Ensure all catered functions are meticulously followed up prior to the event according to hotel standards.
- Obtain guarantee numbers, floor plans, entertainment, A/V, flowers, etc., from clients.
- Assist the Director of Catering as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the Banquet Department.
- Provide set‑ups, menus and functions for groups.
- Qualify leads and prospects, developing potential accounts.
- Update and maintain all account files and documentation.
- Establish and maintain close contact with top and target accounts through phone calls, tours, appointments and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate sales files and a trace system for top and target accounts.
- Work effectively with rooms, food and beverage and catering departments.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all hotel facilities and nearby attractions.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales goals.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain all files with current trace dates, accurate histories and all relevant booking activity information.
- Participate in weekly marketing and sales meetings.
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the hotel, including those in the employee handbook.
- Previous catering experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional listening skills.
Donohoe Hospitality Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance; leaves of absence; retirement plans; paid time off; hotel room discounts and more. Minimum 32 hours/week to qualify. Employees also have access to daily pay, allowing them to receive earnings on the same day they work.
