Martin’s Caterers seeks a confident, polished General Manager to lead one of Baltimore, Maryland’s most respected hospitality and catering event centers, overseeing a high-volume operation with annual sales exceeding $10 million.

This is more than a management role — it’s the chance to lead one of Maryland’s most iconic event venues alongside a professional, dedicated team. Your leadership helps create weddings, celebrations, and milestone moments guests will remember for a lifetime.

WHAT YOU WILL DO. Here’s what your days will look like.

  • Be a visible, hands‑on leader during weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations.
  • Set high standards for service, food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and guest care while ensuring health, safety, and licensing compliance.
  • Hire, coach, and develop managers and staff, driving accountability and teamwork in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
  • Lead culinary, sales, and event teams to deliver events exactly as promised.
  • Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and on‑site execution. This is a physically active position where you will be walking and interacting with guests and team members frequently.
  • Supervise sales activity, review and approve contracts and pricing as needed, and ensure events are properly finalized and financially protected.
  • Manage labor planning, budgets, food and beverage costs, inventory, and overall financial performance.
  • Oversee food and beverage excellence, including ordering, quality, timing, and cost awareness.
  • Ensure facility readiness through cleanliness, safety, equipment care, and preventative maintenance.
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and empathy.
  • Continuously improve service flow, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
  • Represent Martin’s with integrity, sound judgment, and pride in hospitality.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $145,000 - $160,000 annual starting salary.
  • Annual Performance Review & Profit‑Sharing Bonus Eligibility. Annual evaluations with bonus and compensation increases awarded based on individual performance and venue results.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and people leadership skills.
  • Confidence making decisions independently and responsibly in a fast‑moving setting.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event‑driven schedules as a visible, active on‑site leader.
