Position
Power Pages Developer at Ascella Technologies, Inc.
We are seeking an experienced Power Pages Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable external‑facing and internal web experiences as part of a Microsoft Power Platform solution at a cabinet‑level agency. This role includes operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Power Pages sites and integration with other Power Platform and agency systems. The ideal candidate will deliver secure, scalable, and user‑friendly Power Pages sites that meet agency needs and comply with federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze current business needs and web‑based user journeys to inform Power Pages design and development strategy.
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, responsive Power Pages sites that align with enterprise standards.
- Design, configure, and develop Power Pages sites, templates, and data integrations, with emphasis on performance, accessibility, and security.
- Implement and maintain data integrations with Dataverse, Power Automate, and other agency systems to enable seamless data flows for external and internal users.
- Engage with contractor and federal stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, acceptance criteria, and security/compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update SDLC and governance documentation specific to Power Pages development (architectural decisions, security controls, deployment procedures).
- Uphold quality standards through rigorous review of deliverables, including security reviews, accessibility checks (ARIA), and responsive design validation.
- Assist Project Managers in creating detailed work plans, timelines, resource estimates, risk registers, and test strategies for Power Pages deliverables.
- Participate in technical meetings, provide user support, and contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation for end users and administrators.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of front‑end or web development experience with at least 2‑3 years of experience with Power Platform, including Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse; demonstrated hands‑on development and deployment.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience applying them to web/low‑code projects.
- Experience in software release management and deployment pipelines for Power Platform components.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams) and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to document requirements, designs, and user guides clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to high‑quality deliverables, and problem‑solving orientation.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain confidentiality and integrity in client interactions.
- U.S. Citizenship is required; candidates must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
- Master’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Additional technical certifications (Microsoft, Security+, CSM, etc.) and demonstrated expertise in Power BI and Power Apps as they relate to Power Pages solutions.
- Experience with designing and implementing accessible, responsive web experiences (WCAG) and best practices for performance optimization.
- Proven experience delivering solutions in a federal or regulated environment, with understanding of government security and privacy considerations.
- Background in technical writing, including user guides, administrator manuals, and release notes.
- Comprehensive SDLC experience, including architecture, security, testing, deployment, and operations for web platforms.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and source control in the Power Platform ecosystem (ALM for Power Pages, Dataverse, and related services).
