Service Now Developer – Leidos (SSA Contracts)
Leidos is seeking a Service Now Developer to help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. You will build next‑generation enterprise‑level business workflows for repository services, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public.
Location: Woodlawn, MD – on‑site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities- Provide development support for Service Now projects and enhancements.
- Develop process workflows and automation strategies.
- Collaborate with the team on architecture design development and reviews.
- Lead the development of solution artifacts such as road maps, architecture diagrams, and optimization plans beyond User Story requirements.
- Support growth‑related activities, including prototypes and oral presentations, and maintain required certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, master’s degree with 2 years of experience, or 8+ years experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years as a Service Now developer.
- 3+ years in technical discussions and reviews.
- Experience across multiple Service Now platform components and common third‑party integrations.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.
- Experience supporting IT data integrity (CMDB, HAM, SAM).
- Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with the U.S. Federal Government.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Certified System Administrator (baseline). Certified Application Developer (baseline).
- 3+ years developing Service Now solutions across ITSM, ITOM (HAM and SAM), ITSM, and Enterprise Architecture (APM/TRM/TPM).
- 3+ years of industry experience (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech).
- 2+ years of technical leadership driving change and solutions.
- Additional Service Now CIS certifications, preferred:
Customer Service Management, IT Service Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, Strategic Portfolio Management, Application Portfolio Management, Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management.
