We are seeking a highly skilled Senior and Mid‑Level Service Now Developer to support a mission‑critical federal program in Baltimore, MD. In this role you will design, develop, and enhance Service Now solutions that drive automation, operational efficiency, and enterprise reporting across complex IT environments.

Location:

Baltimore, MD – full‑time, On‑site (5 days per week).

• Provide development support for Service Now projects and enhancements.
• Develop process workflows and automation strategies.
• Collaborate on architecture design, reviews, and develop solution artifacts such as road maps, architectural and block diagrams.
• Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups, Roles, Dashboards and scheduled reports.
• Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows.
• Propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
• Configure and customize the Service Now platform to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Follow documentation best practices and maintain policies, procedures, and processes throughout development.
• Support cross‑functional teams in configuring, implementing, and supporting Service Now.
• Apply UI/UX requirements from internal and external teams.
• Apply programming methodologies, languages, coding standards, and techniques; contribute to code documentation.
• Design and implement solutions in accordance with Configuration Management policies and standards.
• Willingness to grow and enhance skill set from more senior developers.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) with 3 years of professional experience; or equivalent; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
• Alternative: 7+ years of experience may replace a degree.
• Certifications:
  
  Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD),
  Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA), and at least 2 Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSM, SPM, APM).
• Service Now Expertise: 3+ years of technical discussions/reviews; 5+ years of Service Now development; 3+ years of developing solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, Sec Ops, GRC, HR; 3+ years of industry experience (Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, Manufacturing, Retail, etc.); 2+ years of technical leadership; experience with third‑party integrations; understanding of system architecture; supporting data integrity (CMDB, HAM, SAM); experience with Service Now upgrades.

  Expertise in Service Now Development APIs;
  Java scripting; REST & SOAP web services;
  Business Rules, Workflows, Identification Rules, Work spaces, External Portals; knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, LDAP; specialized certifications (ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, Sec Ops, GRC, TRM/APM, HR).
• Project Management or Agile Certification.
• ITILv4 Foundations Certification.
