Leidos is seeking a Sr. Web Sphere Admin/Dev Ops Engineer to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. • Develop, design, code, and implement next-generation deployment automation using system/software engineering best practices and the latest technologies:
• Dev Ops (Jenkins, Red Hat Open Shift, Docker)
• Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code (Urban Code Deploy, Ansible, Scripting)
• Administer IBM Web Sphere Application Server including installing, migrating, upgrading, deploying, troubleshooting, and configurating on Linux.
• Provide engineering contributions in one or more of these areas: software deployment, application monitoring and performance tuning, Microservice architecture, container orchestration, security, or auto-scaling & application reliability engineering.
• Work closely and collaboratively with a small tightly knit high performing team of Leidos engineers and customer technical leads.
• Investigate and repair application defects with development team regardless of component: front-end, business logic, middleware, CI/CD pipeline, or database (PL/SQL and Data Modeling). Triage Java exceptions and tune JVM/application server.
• Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written and oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience.
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field.
• Master's or doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
• 8 years of combined experience with software development including deployment, automation, systems/application analysis and design.
• 3+ years of combined experience with Application Server Administration (Web Sphere Application Server, Web Sphere Liberty).
