  • Create and distribute online conversation insights and dashboards within the Office of Communications and to designated individuals or offices within the University.
  • Collaborate with the department's media, editorial, creative, and digital teams in using insights to inform broader communications strategies, and to help shape the University's media approach.
  • Track issues and potential crises of importance to the University, and, in an actual crisis, provide timely information and analysis concerning online conversations to inform the University's response.
  • Develop new digital methods as needed to make the internal reporting process more efficient, including the use of automation technologies.
  • Work closely with the department's vendors of analytics software and services and stay informed of industry best‑practices for performance reporting and relevant online tools.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in website traffic analysis using Google Analytics and/or similar applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate that analysis into specific and actionable recommendations, reports, dashboards, and other kinds of data visualizations for non‑technical key stakeholders and decision‑makers.

  • Experience in higher education (preferred but not required).
  • Three plus years using social listening and media monitoring platforms, such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, Cision or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
