Connect the Teams. Drive the Execution. Deliver at Enterprise Scale. What happens when ten engineering teams need to make changes at the same time? Someone has to see the entire picture. We are looking for an Enterprise Release and Deployment Coordinator to serve as the connective tissue across a large-scale engineering organization. You will coordinate complex technology initiatives that span infrastructure, applications, cloud, end-user computing, networking, cybersecurity, communications, and other technical disciplines—ensuring teams remain aligned, dependencies are understood, risks are visible, and major efforts continue moving forward.
This is not a scheduling or administrative role. You will use technical insight, organizational leadership, and strong execution skills to understand what each team is trying to accomplish, identify where work intersects, challenge potential conflicts, and bring the right people together to keep enterprise initiatives moving rapidly and safely.
- Orchestrate large-scale technology efforts by coordinating multiple engineering teams through planning, readiness, implementation, and post-deployment activities.
- Maintain the enterprise view of releases, deployments, migrations, upgrades, and major initiatives, including schedules, dependencies, milestones, risks, and resource requirements.
- Connect engineering teams by identifying cross-team dependencies and ensuring technical work streams are properly sequenced and coordinated.
- Drive execution by identifying obstacles, challenging unclear plans, bringing the right technical leaders together, and ensuring decisions and actions are followed through.
- Protect the work streams by identifying conflicting activities, competing resource requirements, technical dependencies, and changes that could create operational risk.
- Provide leadership visibility through concise roadmaps, status reporting, readiness assessments, risk tracking, and clear communication of what is happening across the enterprise.
- Continuously improve execution by identifying recurring coordination problems and developing better processes, tools, and practices for enterprise release and deployment management.
- Coordinate enterprise change management activities by reviewing Digital Services change requests, validating technical and operational information, and supporting Change Advisory Board activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience coordinating complex technology initiatives involving multiple technical or cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an enterprise IT environment with exposure to infrastructure, applications, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, end-user computing, or related disciplines.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to quickly understand how different technology work streams interact.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, dependencies, schedules, and critical activities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers, technical leads, project managers, operations teams, and senior leadership.
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT.
