Overview
Our client, a global law firm, is looking for a Senior IP Administration Manager.
About the Role:
This individual will oversee the firm's entire IP prosecution (patent and trademark) practice.
Schedule:
Hybrid 3/2
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Other compensation:
Annual Bonus
- Lead and manage the Docketing team, Patent Agents, Patent Law Clerks, and IP administrative staff.
- Develop and implement best practices to streamline legal operations and enhance efficiency.
- Delegate tasks, monitor team performance, conduct evaluations, and create professional development plans.
- Oversee domestic and international IP prosecution dockets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Stay informed on changes and trends in IP law and advise attorneys accordingly.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the IP team, other internal departments, and external partners or organizations.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor training programs for IP administrative staff.
- Manage complex, high-level IP projects and provide direct support to attorneys.
- Prepare and oversee the department's budget and manage associated expenditures.
- Supervise case intake and file transfer processes.
- Provide general support for prosecution matters as needed.
- Manage and maintain the IP records and file room.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- At least 8 years of relevant IP experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and IP-specific tools such as Inprotech, USPTO systems, and other electronic IP resources.
- Familiarity with SAEGIS and Coresearch is a plus.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Strong understanding of IP law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with IP-specific software.
- Knowledge of budget management.
