Associate General Counsel

A rapidly growing company focused on large-scale data center and power projects across the US is seeking an experienced attorney with a strong background in the energy sector. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters that shape the future of digital and energy infrastructure.

Role Overview

The Associate General Counsel will work closely with senior leadership and outside counsel to manage a broad range of legal matters, including:

• Commercial agreements and strategic partnerships

• Land acquisitions and sales for data center developments and co-located electric generating facilities

• Major equipment procurement and EPC contracts

• Interconnection and permitting processes

• M&A and project finance

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with 5-7+ years of legal experience

• Energy industry expertise is required, with exposure to areas such as:

• Electric energy and capacity transactions

• Natural gas procurement and transportation

• Tolling and revenue agreements

• Experience in real estate law, environmental regulations, and corporate governance is highly desirable

• Prior experience at a major law firm and as in-house counsel preferred

Location

Based in Traverse City, MI, Maple Lawn, MD or Denver, CO.

The compensation range for this role is variable and dependent on experience level. It is not guaranteed and will be determined based on qualifications and expertise.
