Human Resources Director @ Aerothreads | PHRAerothreads is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, inventory management, and shipping/receiving operations across multiple programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are sourced cost-effectively, delivered on time, and meet quality requirements to support project schedules.
The ideal candidate brings strong supplier relationship management skills, a strategic mindset, and hands‑on experience managing procurement and inventory in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day procurement, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations
- Analyze specifications, quality, quantity, and delivery requirements to identify optimal supply sources
- Identify, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and bid requests
- Review material requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation for accuracy
- Monitor supplier lead times and communicate delivery status to internal stakeholders
- Allocate inventory to projects and maintain accurate inventory records
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities
- Ensure incoming inspections are completed and resolve discrepancies with suppliers or carriers
- Maintain inventory data, usage, expirations, and documentation in Deltek Costpoint
- Prepare procurement and inventory reports as needed
- Mentor, train, and develop supply chain team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and supplier management
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Process‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Collaborative team player with a customer‑service focus
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant work experience required
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, inventory, or supply chain operations
- Prior experience leading or mentoring others
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform general office and warehouse activities
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 35 pounds
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform hands‑on material handling as needed
