Interim Corporate Tax Director (Consulting)

Start Date: January 5

Duration: 6–9 months (with potential to extend)

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid – 1-3 days/week onsite, it's flexible)

Engagement: Open to 1099 or W-2 (project-based)

We are partnering with a public company in Baltimore as it enters a new ownership chapter through a PE-led take-private process
. This is a high-impact interim Corporate Tax Director role for an experienced tax leader who can provide steady leadership, strong execution, and thoughtful partnership with senior finance leadership during an important transition.

The role reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and manages a small, capable team, with meaningful visibility and influence.

• Lead corporate and partnership tax activities across the organization (key priority)
• Oversee tax provision, compliance, and transaction-related tax considerations
• Partner closely with the CAO and broader finance leadership on tax planning and execution
• Manage and mentor a team of two tax professionals
• Support a smooth, well-coordinated transition with disciplined processes and sound judgment

• Director-level tax leader (or above); interim or consulting experience welcome
• Public company experience; exposure to PE-backed or transaction environments preferred
• Hands-on, execution-oriented leader who enjoys ownership
• Available to start early January and commit to the engagement timeline
