Samaritan's Purse is seeking Engineers to serve as WASH Program Managers in two of our Middle East locations. In this role, you will oversee large water supply construction projects that are projected to last 90-120 days

A day in the life of a WASH Program Manager:

In the role of WASH Program Manager
, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Advise on and guide the technical design, implementation, and evaluation of these WASH projects to ensure alignment with community needs, organizational objectives, and donor requirements.
• Provide technical oversight of WASH construction activities, including review and development of designs and bills of quantities (BoQs), and actively promote high-quality technical approaches and appropriate innovation.
• Support technical assessments and performance reviews of ongoing WASH initiatives to promote consistency, quality, and compliance with donor requirements.
• Adapt and improve WASH designs to suit local contexts, incorporating field experience, user feedback, and emerging best practices.
• Establish accountability mechanisms where Samaritans Purse implements WASH interventions, ensuring that feedback is incorporated into program design and learning.
• Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.
• Thorough knowledge of WASH program strategies and appropriate interventions, including water treatment and distribution systems, borehole drilling, sanitation structures, hygiene education and promotion.

• Thorough knowledge of program management and program development
• Ability to build capacity of direct reports through mentoring and coaching
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Fluency in English is required. Arabic preferred.

Qualifications & Experience
:

• Bachelors degree in water resources engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, hydrogeology or related field and three (3) or more years of experience in similar WASH role; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience implementing a program in accordance with Samaritans Purse Project Management policies and procedures is preferred.
• Experience working in the Middle East is preferred.
• Proven international management and leadership experience is required.
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectations: Domestic travel within the country of service (up to 50%) may be required as security allows. Maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary.
