Senior Investment Director – Infrastructure

A sovereign-backed entity is developing a presence in Washington DC to support infrastructure investments in the country and is looking for a Senior Investment Director to lead business development, principal investments, and provide country office leadership for the fund.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, you will play a highly visible role in identifying, pipelining, developing, and executing large infrastructure investments, as well as portfolio management thereafter. You will have a strong understanding of equity‑based investments, a breadth of infrastructure industry experience across multiple segments, as well as the ability to develop business into an active investment pipeline, and drive relationships with industry and governmental partners.

This is an ideal opportunity for an executive director or managing director with deep infrastructure experience to play a critical role in building a business in the region. You will have significant back‑office support; however, you will be expected to be hands‑on and entrepreneurial given the in‑country point of entry for the fund.

You should apply for this role if you are/have:

• 10+ years infrastructure industry investments experience – ideally from a buy‑side or private equity perspective
• A demonstrable track record in business development in terms of prospecting, pipeline development, and deal execution
• Extensive experience in equity‑based infrastructure investments in the £500m to £1bn+ category
• Proven industry partner relationship‑building experience focused on value creation over transactions
• First‑class academics in relevant disciplines from top tier institutions
