The purpose of this role is to build relationships, coordinate outreach activities and secure funding opportunities to support ILIA’s youth and community programs. The Community Engagement and Fundraiser will strengthen community ties, attract donors and sponsors, and enhance program sustainability.

Qualifications:

Experience in community outreach, partnership building, fundraising and donor management.

Ability to develop and implement effective engagement and fundraising strategies utilizing different approaches.

Ability to organize community events, fundraising campaigns and donor recognition activities.

Excellent communication, networking and relationship‑building skills.

Proficiency in using CRM and fundraising software.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Creative and strategic thinking to maximize fundraising opportunities.

Prior experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly with youth or community organizations.

Understanding of Islamic culture; ability to speak Arabic is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, marketing, communications, nonprofit management or a related field.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities:

Community Outreach & Partnerships

Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, volunteer opportunities and speaking engagements.

Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, faith organizations , government agencies, schools and community leaders.

Conduct educational workshops and information sessions to promote ILIA’s programs.

Develop partnerships to support youth and community programs.

Identify and research potential funding opportunities, sponsor ships and donations from individuals, foundations and corporations.

Prepare grant proposals and sponsorship requests.

Donor Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs.

Regularly communicate with donors to provide updates on ILIA’s programs and impact.

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet ILIA’s financial goals.

Utilize a variety of fundraising approaches, including online campaigns, events and direct mail.

Event Coordination

Plan, organize and manage fundraising events such as galas, donor dinners and community outreach events.

Collaborate with the ILIA team to ensure successful event execution.

Reporting and Analysis

Track and report on fundraising performance, including donor contributions and campaign outcomes.

Analyze fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Volunteer & Stakeholder Engagement

Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers to support outreach and fundraising events.

Engage community members, sponsors and partners to promote ILIA’s mission and programs.

Represent ILIA at community events and networking opportunities.

Work closely with the communications and programs teams to align engagement and fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

Provide regular updates to the Programs Director & Chief Empowerment Officer on progress.
