OverviewPoint Source Youth (PSY) is a national leader in the movement to prevent and end youth homelessness. Since 2015, we’ve partnered with communities to scale direct cash transfers as prevention, Targeted Housing Assistance Program, and Direct Cash Transfers for housing and other evidence-based strategies that center the agency of young people, especially BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ youth, preventing and ending youth homelessness.
Our work spans research, policy, advocacy, and implementation, culminating each year in our National Symposium on Solutions to End Youth Homelessness.
We seek a seasoned, strategic, and driven leader to serve as our Director of Program Development and Growth. This Baltimore-based role will focus on expanding and deepening our partnerships, presence, and impact in Baltimore, MD. This person knows how to confidently lead program implementation, build lasting relationships, and secure funding. They can see the big picture while executing on the details and are ready to hit the ground running.
ResponsibilitiesProgram Expansion & Implementation (65%)
- Secure diversified funding ($750K–$1M annually) from government, foundations, and individuals.
- Lead adoption and expansion of Targeted Housing and Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) programs in Baltimore and 3–5 states.
- Manage partnerships with community orgs, youth groups, government, philanthropy, and Continuums of Care.
- Provide technical assistance, funder relations, and troubleshooting for communities implementing DCT.
- Develop outcome tracking and evaluation frameworks to demonstrate impact.
- Create replicable resources (toolkits, case studies, messaging) to amplify PSY models.
- Lead major grant proposals and funder reports.
- Advance the National Prevention Learning Collaborative (NPLC) through content strategy, webinars, and convenings.
- Develop tools that translate research into actionable frameworks.
- Integrate Baltimore and youth leaders into national learning spaces.
- Represent PSY as a thought leader at conferences and convenings.
- Develop presentations, media engagement, and public education strategies.
- Collaborate on communications and campaigns to expand PSY’s visibility.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Participate in internal planning to strengthen PSY systems and culture.
- Build relationships with key Baltimore partners and additional communities.
- Lead adoption of evidence-based prevention strategies in 3–5 states.
- Take ownership of major community projects and grant proposals.
- Represent PSY at external events and integrate new content into NPLC.
- Help raise $750K–$1M annually for Baltimore and other DCT programs.
- Launch or expand 4–5 DCT/Targeted Housing projects.
- Develop scalable funding strategies across multiple communities.
- Deliver impactful NPLC programming and report on progress to funders.
- Expand PSY’s presence in Baltimore through advocacy and public engagement.
- Renew and expand community partnerships, securing $1M+ in funding.
- Advance city, county, and state funding for Targeted Housing.
- Continue scaling DCT programs and strengthening evidence of cost-effectiveness.
- Elevate storytelling and narratives demonstrating program impact.
- Position PSY as a leading partner in five key communities.
- Build sustainable, equity-driven partnerships and programs.
- Influence national policy and practice through proven prevention strategies.
- 8+ years of leadership in youth homelessness, housing justice, policy, or philanthropy; lived experience encouraged.
- Success launching/expanding programs and securing significant funding ($750K+).
