KFO is seeking a Director of Fundraising to build and steward an elite donor capital network via discreet dinner engagements for VANGUARD (NGO), a national governance initiative operating at the intersection of intelligence, defense, and U.S. government policy under KFO Legacy Foundation.
VANGUARD convenes private intelligence briefings, strategic forums, and applied policy research that translate geopolitical, technological, and security developments into actionable governance frameworks. Its programming supports policy leaders across federal, state, and municipal environments.
Fundraising under BLACKPAGE, you will lead senior‑level donor cultivation and institutional partnerships for VANGUARD, while overseeing preparation for KFO’s March Gala, aligning donor strategy, table sponsor ships, and long‑term capital commitments to support national resilience, community security capacity, and forward‑looking policy development.
VANGUARD is a policy and governance initiative (NGO) under KFO Legacy Foundation, focused on strengthening three core pillars: policy, defense & intelligence – for national security, advancing defense‑aligned policy, and supporting government readiness across the United States.
The initiative develops applied policy research, private intelligence briefings, and leadership development programs that translate emerging geopolitical, technological, and security dynamics into practical governance frameworks. VANGUARD supports students and emerging leaders preparing for public‑sector service, while advancing community safety and long‑term policy instrument resilience.
Serving as a bridge between policy expertise, institutional stakeholders, and philanthropic capital, VANGUARD convenes strategic briefings, forums, and pilot programs that convert complex governance challenges into donor‑supported initiatives aligned with democratic stability and national strength.
PositionAs a Fundraiser/Operator under BLACKPAGE supporting VANGUARD, you will leverage strategic intelligence dossiers for briefing prep under sector analysis, and campaign intelligence across the NGO’s three pillars.
In this role, you will support donor identification, fundraising outreach through data‑driven insights, and policy analysis supported by curated intelligence reports used in intelligence briefing dinners, and event‑driven campaigns – including the Foundation’s March Gala.
You will assist with major donor invitation, campaign execution, and relationship management, helping translate VANGUARD’s intel, defense, and policy work into compelling, well‑supported fundraising narratives. This position is designed for a fundraiser who is comfortable operating in an action‑driven timeline, for Q1/2026, where philanthropy intersects with policy, intelligence, and defense strategy for quick results with speed and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Host social engagements including weekly dinners, monthly conferences, and quarterly banquets/galas
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors capable of six‑ and seven‑figure commitments.
- Develop tailored engagement strategies aligned with VANGUARD’s mission in policy, national security, and community protection.
- Lead outreach for the March Gala, coordinating invitations, donor briefings, and recognition pathways.
- Collaborate with BLACKPAGE team.
- Oversee donor stewardship and ensure transparent impact reporting for VANGUARD programs.
- Represent VANGUARD at policy briefings, security forums, summits, and philanthropic events.
- Track campaign milestones, donor engagement metrics, and long‑term retention indicators.
- 5+ years in major‑gifts fundraising, philanthropic partnerships, or policy‑driven program development.
- Proven success securing high‑value gifts supporting national security, community advocacy, or institutional reform.
- Experience engaging donors across philanthropy, public policy, defense, or community‑protection sectors.
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑management skills with HNW and institutional partners.
- Discretion, diplomacy, and poise in high‑profile and sensitive environments.
- Lead a landmark initiative strengthening democratic resilience, community protection, and national security.
- Collaborate with leaders across policy, intelligence, philanthropy, and community advocacy.
- Work directly with the senior KFO leadership.
