What is this job? Working in accordance with established Everstand Policies and Procedures, Code of Maryland Regulations, The Nurse Practice Act, and the Maryland Board of Nursing, the Registered Nurse provides care and services and manages an efficient Health Suite, including administration and supervision of medication, emergency assessment and triage of care, coordination of routine medical and dental care, staff orientation and training, health education for youth, and assistance to health care providers.

What does this job do specifically?

• Obtain and maintain certification as a “user” in Everstand’s electronic health record software system.
• Responsible for the ongoing timely management and completion of youths’ wellness visits in accordance with regulations.
• Responsible for medication management, including transcription, administration, storage, refills, provider orders, and recommendations.
• Maintain current scheduled and controlled drug record per state/federal laws.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and submit required reports.
• Maintain confidential files and adhere to HIPAA.
• Practice infection control and disposal of contaminated waste.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and report for duty as scheduled.
• Oversee assessment and guidance related to restraints.
• Contribute to prevention and management of challenging behaviors using Everstand’s Behavior Management and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Techniques.
• Provide mandatory on‑call coverage as required.
• Complete mandatory training on the anniversary date.

Location:

Denton, Maryland Campus. This part‑time, in‑person position may require flexible hours, including mandatory overtime, on‑site and off‑site meetings. Essential during inclement weather.

Available shifts:
Saturdays/Sundays, 7:30 am to 9 pm each day, 27 hrs per week.

• Diploma, Associates, or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience in a pediatric office, group home setting, and/or residential treatment center.

• Must drive Everstand vehicles. Valid driver’s license with less than 7 points.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Provide supporting documentation of COVID vaccination records or acceptable documentation.
