The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Bloomberg 12 unit offers a rewarding opportunity to work across a comprehensive psychiatric care setting, including a 15-bed acute inpatient psychiatry unit, a 12-slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17, and a 5-bed Psych Pod within our pediatric emergency department.

Our patients present with a wide array of diagnoses such as mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and adjustment disorders, often alongside medical co-morbidities like asthma, diabetes, sickle cell, and cancer.

Role:
Psychiatric and Pediatric Nurse

Shifts:

12-hour rotating day/night shifts

Perform comprehensive assessments, manage patient milieu, de-escalate behavioral crises, administer medications, and provide holistic nursing care tailored to various ages and developmental capacities.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; applicants enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and planning to complete within five years will also be considered.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in psychiatric, mental health, or related inpatient care.

Minimum $36.31/hour - Maximum $56.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
