RN SICU

The SICU Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for applying the nursing process and delivery of patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), sometimes referred to as Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACUs). The Registered Nurse consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable for managing patient care post‑operatively and assisting others in the management of patients as they come out of anesthesia.

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• 2 years of SICU, PACU or ICU experience preferred
• CPAN and CAPA certifications preferred
• ACLS may be required per state/contract
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
