Surgery - Vascular Nurse Practitioner

Facility in Largo, MD seeking Vascular Surgery APP locums coverage   Rates: $150/hr   Opportunity Highlights

Schedule:

7 days a week coverage needed. Available blocks include Mon Thurs and Fri Sun.
Shift Times:
Consistent 10-hour day shifts (7:30 AM 5:30 PM).
NO OR Coverage:
This position is dedicated to floor patient care only.
Support:
Part of the Heart Vascular Institute (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular). You will report to the Lead APP.
EMR: EPIC
Fast Privileging:
Estimated 30 days for Full or Temporary privileges.

Key Responsibilities     Conduct rounding on post-operative vascular patients.
Manage inpatient consults and facilitate patient discharges.
Provide secondary coverage for post-op thoracic surgery patients and ICU (non-primary service line).
Work as a solo provider for the floor service during your scheduled shift.
Requirements     Credential:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Specialty

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years experience. While posted for Vascular, the facility will accept providers with Cardiovascular and/or Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
Board Status:
Board Certified is required.
Licensure:
Active Maryland State License is required to apply.

Certifications:

Active ACLS and BLS (AHA or Red Cross) are required.

IMLC candidates will not be considered.
