American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of CCU/CVSICU experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac devices.
Details- 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a large hospital setting
- Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure
- High-acuity unit where nearly all patients require advanced cardiac device management
- Utilizes cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs
- Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Float to areas of similar skill set as needed
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current CCU or CVSICU nursing experience
- Experience with cardiac equipment including Impella, IABP, and PA catheters
- CRRT experience required
- ECMO experience preferred
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Experience in a facility with 500+ bed capacity required
- Provide high-acuity critical care nursing to cardiac patients with complex device management needs
- Orientation sessions held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Strong candidates only will be considered given the complexity of this unit
