American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of recent CCU/CVSICU experience and advanced cardiac device competency.
Details- 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for patients with acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure
- High-acuity unit where nearly all patients require cardiac device management
- Uses cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs
- Rotating 7A/7P shift schedule
- Floating required to areas of similar skill set
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of current CCU or CVSICU nursing experience required
- Experience with cardiac equipment such as Impella, IABP, and PA catheters required
- CRRT experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- ECMO experience preferred
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- Experience in a comparable large facility (500+ beds) required
- Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity cardiac patients requiring advanced device management
- Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Strong candidates preferred given the high acuity and complexity of this unit
