American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift role requiring a compact or MD RN license and at least one prior travel assignment.

• Combined adult/pediatric General Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Approximately 150 visits per day
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• On-call required every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary
• Clinicians are trained on the unit before being expected to work charge

• Active RN license - compact or Maryland (MD) license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience within the last 7 years required
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required for consideration
• Required skills:
  
  IV starts and phlebotomy
• Preferred skills:
  Cerner EMR, charge experience, triage, and preceptor experience

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult/pediatric patient population
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency medication administration
• Scrubs are not provided; navy blue scrubs required
• May come into contact with COVID-19 patients
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius to qualify for the local rate
• Up to 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks
• Previous Med Star employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
