American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Neurological/Neurosurgical Med/Surg unit requiring 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele acute care experience with neurology patients.
Requirements- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele acute care experience required, with neurology patient experience specifically required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
- Work on a 14-bed acute care neurological and neurosurgical inpatient unit, including a 12-bed Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Care for adult patients with conditions such as spinal surgery, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, seizure disorders, and other brain or spinal column diseases
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed per unit Availability for 2 (12-hour) on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Provide nursing care for stroke, neurological, and neurosurgical patients
- Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Strong candidates preferred given the high-acuity academic medical center setting
